Many people become sad when they see their gold changing color, from yellow gold to copper color gold.
And they do not really understand why is that happening until they visit a Jewellery store.
WHAT QUALITY OF GOLD SHOULD YOU BE PURCHASING?
1. 18 Carat Gold - this quality of gold contains 75% of gold and 25% of mixing AND it is best for engagement rings with side stones.
2. 21 Carat Gold - this quality of gold contains 87.5% gold and 12.5% mixing and it is best for daily wear jewellery. Fancy Rings, Bracelets, Chains, Earings, Lockets and all other daily wear jewellery.
3. 22k Carat Gold - this quality of gold contains 91.6% gold and 8.4% mixing and it is best for daily wear jewellery as well.
21k and 22k do not really have much difference and are most loved by people. They do not easily get dirty and their resell price is high as well.
Jewellery having gold below 75% should not be purchased.
BUT! in some jewelleries people really like 14 carat of gold (58% gold). For example, an engagement ring or a wedding ring with stones on them. High quality gold is very soft and the side stones are really easy to fall off, which demotivate people to purchase high quality gold for engagement and wedding rings.
